Accommodations were tip top. Loved the Juniper. The bed was not exceptionally comfortable but the shower water flow was so good. The 82 degree pool was awesome. My boyfriend’s massage was exceptional but not quite as good as osmosis. The serious let down was dining at the Layla restaurant which we even gave a second chance after the first night’s let down. Burger… thumbs down, undercooked bad flavor. Beet salad, good. 2nd night… apple salad, raviolis and petroli soul. Just not good. Too much pepper on the soul and in a white flavorless sauce. Looked like a raw uncooked fillet. All white. Crappy presentation and did not taste better than it looked. Salad had a cilantro twang without any mention of this flavor profile in description. It wasn’t enjoyable. The 5 ravioli were good and nice sized but on top there was 2x bounty of chewy rubber like mushrooms and gramma stewed tomatoes galore. Lastly, more disappointment at Layla… no couth waiter. A bit like the petroli and not even good at pretentious - in his dreams.would NEVER dine here unless staying here. Seriously sad excuse for a classy restaurant without MacArthurs Place name.

Let me think, memorable, remarkable, delightful. From the moment we got there, throughout the stay and upon leaving, the staff and establishment perpetuated a calming stress-free environment. The Bar, Café and Layla's, are amazing places on grounds to grab a bite or indulge in your senses. Once there, I had no reason to leave. To resort amenities, activites and lounging I was completely contempt and encouraged to enjoy the entireties of the resort.

I had the pleasure of recently planning a large scale event with MacArthur Place in the heat of summer events season and cannot stress enough how absolutely phenomenal this venue is. The grounds, food and rooms are all absolutely spectacular, but it's the staff that take it a notch above. To begin - our captains, Maricela and Cameron were absolutely top notch (I tried to poach Maricela to come work for my company!). 'No' was not a word in their vocabularly. They always found a work around or amazing compromise for me when my request wasn't possible and were somehow always there whenever i turned around to find them and ask a question. I firmly believe I will be working for them sooner than later with the prowess and skill they showed. Our Servers – Ricardo, Lupe, Jayden, Marta, Mario - were TOP NOTCH. We never had a need to have food replenished as they were vigilant. Dante on the bar probably makes the best espresso martini on this half of the country and I would take that opinion to court. The valet team - Kevin, David, Brian, Rolando, Francis & Riley - were unlike anything I had seen before. These gentlemen didn't know the phrase 'not my job' and ROUTINELY went above and beyond to help our group when it wasn't in their lane. Someone get those men a bonus check for how incredible they were! Michelle - the Events Director - was a calm, easy presence to work with and someone who put me at ease week of for a major event. Absolutely runs a wonderfully run ship. All in all, if you are looking at executing an event at MacArthur - DO IT. Don't think twice!

This place is so dreamy, from the drive up, to the sparkling wine upon arrival, to the pristine grounds, and the warm and luxurious rooms, it was the absolute perfect place to spend our anniversary. I wish we could have stayed longer. Every single staff member was so kind and helpful, making our stay seamless. Highlights included the plush beds (hello beauty rest away from toddlers) the Saturday yoga class, the electric bikes on site, which we rode into town for meals and LAYLA (food was incredible.) We look forward to staying here again one day!

Booked the Chef’s Cottage for my Bridal and night of wedding suite. Absolutely gorgeous hotel and was the perfect place for getting ready plus photos with my bridesmaids. We also had a brunch at the patio area that includes a fire place. The hotel definitely made me/us feel special during our wedding weekend! Only reason it’s 4 and not 5 stars is (1) because the at room food service was slow and they missed a couple of items (2) when I first got there, there were a couple of spiders in the room but the hotel quickly got them for me when I called (the property is surrounded by gorgeous trees so not surprising there were a couple of spiders).

We just left MacArthur Place, after visiting for the first time, and I cannot wait to return. Everything about our time there exceeded our expectations! The staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The property is beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained, with numerous common area fire pits throughout the tree lined pathways. The rooms are beautiful, pristine and recently renovated. The beds are soft and comfortable, and they even have Dyson hair dryers in each room! The pool was also incredible, it is heated to the perfect temperature and not overly crowded with an abundance of chairs available and poolside food and drink service. All around wonderful experience, we are looking forward to returning soon!

What a great place. I don't even know where to begin. Driving up to this beautiful property ,handing off the car to valet, and being given complementary sparkling wine upon check in really set the theme of our stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room was in the Burris house. The bed was super comfy, the room was decorated well and set at the perfect temperature. The bathroom floor had radiant heat . The robes are so warm and made of quality materials.Everything was so clean and welcoming. We got to have the heated pool and hot tub to ourselves during most of our stay. We ate breakfast at the Layla and dinner at the bar (Monday and Tuesday the Layla is closed for dinner but bar serves a great menu) and everything we ordered was delicious. I'm a vegetarian so I don't have high expectations anywhere I go, but the artichoke and lemon ricotta ravioli were amazing. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and he loved it. There are nice gas fire pits located around the grounds and we really enjoyed those also. All in all, we had a wonderful time there and will definitely return.
